Love Is All We Have
Our #LoveIsAllWeHave campaign supported the Love Equality coalition to accelerate a 2-year national effort to legalise same sex marriage in Northern Ireland, finally leading to the ratification of a new bill in January 2020, just 6 months after the campaign launched.
How can we best advocate on behalf of those restricted by laws in Northern Ireland, so that people and policy makers across the UK better understand the need for marriage equality in Northern Ireland?
To catch Northern Ireland up with the rest of the United Kingdom, to legalise same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland.
We reminded people that Northern Ireland was yet to legalise same-sex marriage with an emotive campaign portraying a son reading a letter from his mother. We distributed this online through social platforms, and took the video to the national stage, at Pride in London in Trafalgar Square, and encouraged activists, influencers, and MPs to post videos of support.
